Recognising signs and symptoms in our dogs is the first step to keeping them healthy. Basic first aid knowledge allows us to manage emergencies until we can get veterinary treatment. This session covers first aid for your dog and basic life support for both dogs and humans.

Course content:

• First Aid - definition and limits.
• Basic Life support fot humans. This training is accredited by the UK Resuscitation Council and provides a certificate that is valid in the work place for one year.
• First aid for dogs.

  • Burns and scalds
  • Heat exhaustion and dehydration

  • Seizures
  • Fractures
  • Doggy first aid kits

This half-day course is provided in association with BY Training and is available for groups of 10-15 people. Guide price £20 per head, depending on venue.

Participants will need to wear comfortable clothing and bring a blanket (for practising the recovery position).
