Manners Social Groups
Dogs are social animals and benefit from mixing with other dogs.Unfortunately most of us can only own one dog at a time, and it can be difficult finding suitable dogs for ours to play with. Dogs that don't meet many other dogs can become either over-excited or fearful (and possibly aggressive) when confronted with a strange dog.
Once dogs have completed basic training, and have been assesed as having a suitable temperament and activity level, they can join our off-lead social groups.

Walk in the Woods: a stroll through Bacton Woods (most Mondays).
This is a chance to walk with other dogs, on and off lead, in a public place. The amount of time spent off lead will depend on the mix of dogs attending (dogs must have a reliable recall for this).
As this is a public place, where we might meet other dogs (or horses, children, cyclists, joggers), you can transfer the skills you have learnt in class into real-world situations.
The walk takes up to an hour, so is not suitable for dogs under 9 months or those with mobility problems.![]()
Playgroup: monthly at Ormesby.
This provides a secure, well-supervised area for your dog to run free with other dogs. All sessions start and finish with dogs mingling on lead, and the amount of time spent off lead will depend on the mix of dogs attending.
Learning to read dog body language you will enable you to assess which dogs you can allow you dog to greet and which would be better avoided - very useful for everyday walking.
"I am really pleased with the way Rupert is coming on at these groups so thank you very much for running them."
